The serpent at the beginning, King and Hooty are voiced by Alex Hirsch the creator of gravity falls and the voices of old man mcgucket, Soos, Grunkle Stan, Bill Cipher, etc. His voice for hooty was his failed attempt at a micky mouse impression and they thought it was funny for the character.
