RE: Percy reading that language on the obelisk - Primarily characters are able to speak specific languages based on their species and occasional gain additional languages from specific classes or background features (e.g. druids know druidic, rogues know thieves' cant, etc.) Other than that there are a few different spells that can help with languages specifically "Comprehend Languages" which allows you to understand any spoken or written language, and "Tongues" which allows you to speak with AND understand anyone who speaks a langauge. the weight of the different spells is that w/ CompLang people can't automatically understand you while w/ Tongues you can't read any language.

We don't see how they met in the streamed campaign since it started as a game they did at home for fun. They were already level 9 when they started streaming. But like Jeremie said in his comment, they did release comics about how they met, though like the show it takes some creative liberties. In the actual beginning of the game, Vex, Vax, Grog, Scanlan and two characters we don't meet in the show were the original party, Vex/Vax, Grog and Scanlan didn't know each other, they just signed up for the same job. Marisha who plays Keyleth was there but she didn't play, she joined when they agreed to make it a regular thing, Taliesin who plays Percy was a different character but switched to Percy at some point (Unclear if he played the first character for only one session or a little more) and Pike joined a bit later.

I will say the way they met was pre-stream, but keep in mind there is a character that does not exist anymore, so there will be one character intro that you will maybe get confused by

In the last episode you said season 2 only had 10 episodes it has 12 DON'T MISS ANY! Lol you might have meant you only had 10 left or something but just want to be sure you don't miss anything!
