For some reason the dub doesn't translate it, but Faputa after seeing Riko's white whistle I believe, said "I see, so that's your true form."

I agree that more people need to know about this series. Unfortunately, people can be off put by how disturbing it is, so that might be one of the reasons that it hasn't received more attention. That, and the manga has some... questionable imagery that isn't present in the anime, and that might also turn people away.

Just to remind you, the last episode of the season, episode 12, is a double episode. So if you plan to do 10, 11 and 12 next week it will be like watching 4 episodes, which I am fine with, but if that's too much you could always split it up into 10-11 and 12 on it's own another time.
