hmm, since the three stands we know so far are called Magician's Red, Hermit Purple and Hierophant Green, surely all "stands are named after the major arcana from Tarot, so since JoJo seems to like imparting Judgement on other and his stand is kinda indigo, he could be Indigo Judgement or something"

The Joestar bloodline had their stands activated because of Dio, but thats not the only way that stands can be activated. Wont give details because of spoilers, but yeah, many people have gotten their stands in many different ways before. Its not Joestar exclusive.

You will definitely start liking Jotaro, but it might take a bit haha. Hes definitely a bad boy, but the rest of his character under his cold exterior gets revealed with time. Hes also such a bad ass that its hard not to like him. In the English dub he is voiced by Matt Mercer, which was a perfect casting.

Without getting into spoilers, part 3 is when Jojo really becomes "Jojo" for a lot of people, it has its growing pains, but still is great. Also, Jotaro grows on you over time, he definitely starts off pretty unlikable for sure though lol.
