Announcement! Patreon Alternative
🕑 Added 2018-12-12 03:23:38 +0000 UTC I'm very happy with Patreon, and I go out of my way to make sure I'm adhering to their community guidelines regarding adult only work. Buuuuut: I've established a Subscribestar account to essentially act as a hedge against Patreon, in case at some point in the future they start to get iffy about the kind of adult content I do. Subscribestar is way more dedicated to hosting any non-illegal content, including adult only content, in the wake of various tech giants deplatforming people for subjective and unpredictable reasons.
If you're happy with Patreon (and I am so far) then please continue to support me here and you won't miss out on anything! The Subscribestar exists only as a backup, a mirror, and an alternative for those who dislike Patreon for whatever reason. I'm mainly using it as a hedge against the future. From this point on, it will simply mirror what I do here.
Subscribestar has fewer features than Patreon. I can't put tags on images making it easy to search for characters and subjects, for instance. I can't seem to make publicly viewable posts.
I'm only going to have a $1 and $6 tier there. I won't establish a steering committee tier there unless somehow subscribers there surpass those here (doubt that'll happen though).
Instead of uploading every little thing I've done since I started Patreon, there, I'm going to organize my images by year and offer them as downloadable .zips so people can catch up quickly. When I do that, I will do the same thing on Patreon, as well, so you can scan for any images you may have missed! Look for it in the future.

I'm wanting to move off too, there's no telling when they could go through and "Tumblr" everything, and they have been banning all sorts of creators based off of agenda-pushing and censorship. It would not suprise me at all if they direct their attention towards porn and other things. I'd like to go ahead and move off patreon so I won't support them anymore, but it looks like Paypal pulled out of SubscribeStar and they are finding a replacement. Anyways, if that ever gets fixed or you find a different platform, et us know and I'll probably switch over.
After these last few days with Patreon drama, I'll be switching over as soon as SubscribeStar setup a new payment method and start accepting new subscribers; and closing my Patreon account, good to know that you've setup an alternative.

woo! Looking forward to the image archive ZIPs. A while back I spent a couple nights doing a deep dive through your old Patreon posts to download everything... not only is it tedious as hell, it seems that really old posts on Patreon have munged images, especially prior to sometime in June of 2015.

nice to know, i have heard rumblings from other patreon creators, that Patreon seem to be moving in troubeling directions, but so far i have seen nothing concrete, anyway thanks for the info

Wise move. No issue with Patreon, as of yet, but should that ever change, I'll be sure to make the cross to Subscribestar promptly to continue enjoying your content.

Honestly, I think the stuff you post is way too vanilla/tame (not a bad thing, just talking relative to other, more fetish-focused artists) to catch Patreon's ire; but this is definitely a good idea.
