The way Noah talks about mental illness always makes me want to send my friends who don't have mental health issues the songs like "THIS" to get them to understand. The only other songwriter I can think of who talks about it that accurately is Dan Campbell from The Wonder Years.

i also just did a road trip from chicago to portland, me. and on the way back we went from portland up through canada, and we drove about 40min away from his actual town and i gotta say there really is nothing around!! we were in search of a starbucks for forever lol

the fact that he called Call Your Mom, call your mom always makes me emotional 🥺 i’m sure it’s different for everyone, but my mom and i are super close and whenever i’m depressed and am listening to music and this song comes on it feels like Noah is giving me a personal reminder to call my mom. big hugs everyone!!

Noah tweeted that Your needs, My Needs and You’re Gonna Go Far “are the same story with different endings,” which I think is a super interesting way of playing with the concept of “if you love someone, let them go.” I’d be curious if that changes your interepretation of either song!

Fellow Emma here and same 😅 I saw Noah play this live the day We’ll All Be Here Forever debuted and I full-body SOBBED. I grew up not too far from where Noah did and my parents/grandparents have literally been there/will be there forever… My parents always tell me that although it hurts them not to have me close, they know I can’t thrive there and are happy I left 11 years ago.

i was really dreading "call your mom" because of how painful it is. as someone who has been on both sides of that exact situation, it is one of those songs that is so incredibly devastating to listen to because you never forget how that felt in those moments and you can feel Noahs pain so clearly in this song. such a good reaction to this incredible album

As a long distance daughter who did leave her small town “you’re gonna go far” puts me in hysterics and when I manage to blink past the fresh wave of tears that comes every time Noah says “we ain’t angry at you love” to see the screen and Steven is playing air drums 😂
