Love this video so much. Ashton doesn't get the recognition he deserves for his music , even in comparison to Luke. Ashton needs to see this video.

this is actually only the first have of his album which is why it says the thorns in parenthesis the second half which is called the roses is going to be released July 17th and then all 16 tracks of his second album blood on the drums will be out

You’re right that it’s not a complete piece of work because, as Ashton has said in the announcement for the project and in a YouTube livestream he did last week (that is up on his channel), BOTD is gonna be released in two parts, The Thorns (which is the first 8 tracks that just came out this past Wednesday) and The Roses (which is the remaining 8 tracks) that comes out on July 17th! He also recently announced a special One Night Only live show in LA the day after the second half drops, where he’ll play some of Superbloom but a majority of this new one. I’m hoping I’ll be able to make it out! My favorite tracks right now are probably Breakup, Rebel at Heart and Last Night Of My Life, but it changes every time I listen to it because this whole first half is just so incredibly good and I’m so excited for the rest of the album. Ashton also said in a recent interview that each of the 16 tracks will have its own music video and, so far we have the ones for Straight To Your Heart (the lead single) and Breakup, and I'm obsessed with how cinematic they feel and I can't wait to see the rest of them 😄

I’ve been checking daily for this one! Thank you for always being one of the first to get reactions up. I appreciate you!! This (first half of the) album (“The Thorns”) exceeded all my expectations as well. Ashton KILLED IT! Definitely the “drummer” album I’ve always dreamed of getting from him. My favorites are Blood on the Drums and Break Up but every single song is spectacular. Can’t wait for the second half (“The Roses”) and to see these live in LA next month! The visuals he has put together for these songs are phenomenal. He has gotten both Andy DeLuca and Ryan Fleming to work with him on them. Would love to see you react to the videos he has released so far (Straight To Your Heart and Break Up). The vibes are 🔥🤘🏼🕶️🥀❤️‍🔥.

Oke, so it is a bit strange that it is shown as an EP on services. It is in fact the first part of an album: "Blood on the Drums". There will be another 8 songs releasing and that will then be the full album ;)
