The bridge on “Dare to love me” was very reminiscent of “Goodby Lullaby”! And I’d say Deja Vu (my personal favorite on the record) and Avalanche (my personal second favorite, ha) are the closest we’ve gotten to Under My Skin, since Under My Skin! (F.U. is easily my third favorite! I got some Paramore vibes from that one!)

So glad you reacted to this one! Had to join Patreon for the full version! Did you hear Avril’s second record, “Under My Skin”? It’s still my favorite record and it’s still her hardest “rock “ record overall. (But it also has some incredible slower songs). Goodbye Lullaby was amazing too. It was predominantly a more alternative pop production, with a couple rock edge songs (Not Enough and Remember When)…but it was a very deep and personal album of hers.

It’s a fantastic album, and I agree with you on FU being the favourite (followed by dare to love me and all I wanted). It’s great to see the genre making a comeback as it’s one I grew up around as both my parents are very into punk/rock/metal. I want many more punk albums from Avril now
