Just a little backstory on this song, it’s from the musical Waitress which Sara wrote the songs for. The main character is trying to escape her abusive husband but she becomes pregnant with his baby, she’s been hiding the tips she makes at her waitressing job to try and find her escape but one day he finds the money and she has to tell him she was keeping it aside to buy the baby’s crib. This song comes at the point in the show where she’s defeated, remembering who she was before she was in this relationship and pregnant with a baby she doesn’t want. It’s truly the most heartbreaking moment of the show and you should definitely react to Jessie Mueller’s performance of it at the Tony Awards

Oh my word, Steven! Yes yes yes, please react to more Sarah. She's one of my favorite artists and her song writing skills are incredible and her vocals are so unique. This song was part of her Broadway Musical called Waitress "hence the baked in a beautiful pie" lyric. On another note, if you want to check out more of her songs, I would recommend "Once Upon Another Time", it truly highlights her vocal versatility and emotion. And the build is up just *chefs kiss*!
