I actually hadn't found the time to listen to this album (apart from a couple singles) and now I'm glad I got to experience it this way. I think being able to sit with it, and hearing your thoughts, made me appreciate the full album more than I may have if I'd just listened to it on my own while doing something else, because I have a tendency to lose track of the music I'm listening to if I'm multitasking, if that makes sense.

This was so cool for me cause this was the 1st time hearing this album and I think we have a lot of the same character traits cause I think a lot of the same things you do. It's interesting because Natalie (main vocalist) HATES writing lyrics and usually feels like she's forcing it... until she sat down to write this album. All three of the chicks have been through divorce, and have had women in their lives get divorced, and Juliana Calm Down was written to all girls as mentioned above. It's fitting that the next song is written to the boys. Also.... the ex held up the divorce because he wanted her to sign an NDA because hes an actor. I think it ended up being conceded that she wont talk about him in interviews or press, but that she could release this album.

I believe I read that Juliana Calm Down was written for all of the Chicks daughters, nieces, young girls in their lives. All of the names I believe are young girls/women they know and are giving advice to.

love love love this album! the guy who cheated was Adrian Pasdar, he was married to Natalia Maines in The Chicks. He played a main character in the show Heroes...Nathan Petrelli was his character name, i think.
