I think saying he's 'allowing the cycle to continue' is a little harsh. He's tried to establish boundaries, but he can't control how other people feel. He's made every reasonable effort to be clear about his desire to keep things casual rather than -- as he says in the last panel here -- potentially falling for someone else like Sissy. It's a safe bet he probably wouldn't have hooked up with Brooke on this trip home if he'd realized how she felt.

I really tried to let women know that I just wanted something physical ahead of time the problem is that most women really want something beyond that In my experience. Is it a natural tendency? Tough as it is, she definitely needed this. Brooke has been making decisions casually without much care for consequences since her story began. Now, its all coming back full circle. Hopefully she learns from this.

Pretty gut wrenching but Coach did say don't catch feelings it won't lead anywhere he knew what it was and what he is. I feel sorry for Brooke but I don't know what she expected.
