The Benelli M4 12 ga is the better gun for her. Semi automatic so there is less recoil using magnum loads. It also has a recoil absorbing stock. In a CQB fight with zombies bigger is not always better. An AK 74 is just as effective in popping zombies…..and more rounds per magazine.

True there too. I favor a tactical Benelli M4 or the classic 870 pump. I have a 870 with Magpul grips, a two round extender and it has the Deer Slayer 20in barrel with Remington iron rifle sights. Shoots slugs dead on at 200 meters.

WAY more kick! If magnums do the job, use them. Super magnums take more room and weigh more, thus, less ammo per weight and bulk. The kick would wear out the shoulder quicker. Not a good idea...
