Hard to decide... I don't think the hypnosis worked, she's just going along with it because she's told us before in an 'Ask the cast' that her 'vagina likes being told what to do'. Part of me half expects the nerd to end up 'hypnotized' himself, or 'addicted' to the smell/taste of her. Then again, she does seem to be aroused, and if her 'vagina likes being told what to do', then being hypnotized to obey might well be intensely erotic to her, meaning even if it shouldn't work... her own desire to be controlled, made the hypnosis work. Would also explain that little smile she's showing, since we don't see her smiling at all before being hypnotized...

What I sincerely appreciate about Jay, and what sets him worlds apart as as an exceptionally gifted artist and storyteller, is how proficient he is in handling "character voice". Inhabiting the headspace of a character--and doing it well--requires a versatile imagination, processing the specific lenses and filters of each mind you're inhabiting in order to achieve something that feels authentic and alive. This comic does a great job in spotlighting how brilliantly Jay puts his skill and talent to use through Leonard's cerebral, clinically deviant mind (I got a big laugh out of his "failed" invisibility potion). The relaxed, confident, assessing, look Lynne gives him on page 9 is pitch-perfect. What I've always found impressive about masters of 2D art is how much depth they can achieve through subtle, nuanced use of a few well-placed lines. Her face in that panel totally projects someone who is "comfortable in her own fur". You're awesome, Jay!

I mean, if you think about it, highly saturated colors tend to change a lot in different light and even direction of light, so I wouldn't sweat it - I doubt most readers would even notice.
