🕑 Added 2024-07-11 21:28:21 +0000 UTCSo, yeah... I'm in deep trouble. The receipt I thought was for rent through July was from 2023, not 2024. I only paid through May of this year. So I'm behind on two months of rent AND have to come up with next month's rent. I want to vomit.

My student loans have another five months before I have to pay them. My mom and stepdad have been quiet on that front. My landlord realizes this is an honest mistake. It's in their interest to work with me as my lease is up in August anyway. If they try to evict, they get nothing and it will cost them more than they could make back by working with me.

Don't panc. Talk to your landlord, explain your situation. Maybe they'll work with you. Start a GoFundMe. Ask parents for $$$ if you can. Get a deferment on student loans.
