"Charge Upfront" Is Happening
🕑 Added 2016-07-07 20:24:54 +0000 UTC The "Charge Upfront" option for Patreon is going to be implemented here. Most of you who've been here for a long time, will not notice any change. New patrons will be charged the moment they sign up, in order to access the appropriate blog content, and will therefor be subsequently charged again at the beginning of each month.If you have any questions about how it will work, you can go here and scroll down to peruse the FAQ. https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/210291283
What this DOES mean for everybody going forward is that I will be able to host the comic content here, instead of using links to my website sent as private messages to the over one thousand of you who are subscribed. Since the charge upfront option effectively creates a paywall, I'll be able to share .zip files of comic content in blog entries, directly.
This means no more waiting on the system to send out private messages to zillions of people, hoping the system is done processing everyone.
I'm going to implement this today. Tomorrow, I will be posting an entry that constitutes the content of private messages sent out at the beginning of July to $6+ subscribers, so those who are new instant-charged patrons will have access to July's rewards. From that point on, adult comic updates will resume as usual around the 5th of each month.

Thats not quite what i mean,i just give you a start like thomas woke up,after that you can do whatever to the idea,change it a bit or completely,it doesn't matter to me as long as it helps you,its your call though,im sorry if im being a bother.

Good for you. It really pisses me off when I see your Patreon work posted elsewhere - not because I paid for it - but because you're being blatantly ripped off. I can't imagine how you feel. This won't stop that completely but at least you will have gotten SOMETHING from the jerk

TOTALLY all for it. Was actually shocked that wasn't how it worked in the first place, and only found out when one of the artists on my list saw ALL his goals met save the last... and then the first of the month came, and he would up dropping three goal levels. People are used douches sometimes. :(

At least Patreon is learning from their mistakes. I remember the hassle of people joining and stealing content and leaving right away. Too bad there isn't a way to keep people from asking a million questions that are answered by your FAQ page.
