🕑 Added 2021-11-02 14:00:06 +0000 UTC
Producer Matt returns to the mic for a chat with very special guest/proud OH patron Dean Menta who played guitar with Faith No More in the 90s and has served various roles with Sparks for many years. They stepped into the time machine to talk about his first tour with FNM as a roadie, his ongoing collaborations with the Mael brothers, and delve into Dean's journey from globe-trotting road dog to music editor/dad staying put in LA.

Thanks Adam! Yes, very fun ep for me for sure. I should talk to Simone Turkington about doing a Bungle chat. A million years ago as a Bungle super fan I drove Trevor and his bass around downtown New York to get falafels. And then I kinda knew Zorn so I ended up driving Patton to gigs a couple times and ended up at a dinner w/ him and Zorn and William Winant once. I felt like a real dum dum! anyway thanks for the kind words :)

This was a great ep Matt! It's good to know there are Bungle heads among us. You must have been stoked to have Trevor and Trey on the show!

This was amazing. I'm one of those FNM freak fans you mention as scary in the podcast. Dean revealed quite a bit in this interview that was new insight - very cool! Thanks Matt.

Hahaha. Not much to hear from back then but search for the band Logjam on any of the streamers and you’ll find plenty to work with from my 20s.

It’s funny, during this show I thought if Dean joined A Perfect Circle (not that I’m a fan) he coulda played with Josh Freese and low and behold he’s the guest this week!
