[Dev Log] Projects update of June
🕑 Added 2024-06-06 19:10:23 +0000 UTCJust a quick post to update you on the status of some of my projects!
Colle della Maddalena v.0.4
The project is starting to take shape!
As announced earlier, I'm focusing on the shortest layout (the more enjoyable) that features many hairpins and nice turns.
I already added some new assets, like different colored cones made from scratch and painted with Substance Painter. Another addition is the new "Slalom layout", but I still have to work some more on object placement for better fun and challenge.
Sad news is that I found out that the game doesn't handle really well dynamic objects (the ones that you can hit and collide). Probably that's why the developers said it's better to use max 10-12 of them. The problem is that is slow track loading so much and when you exit the game it's more stuck.
Anyway, development will continue soon and I'll try to paint grass, sand and stones, then I'll add a physical mash for the road and better vegetation.
Steel Showroom 09: The Stage v1.2
Latest CSP version probably changed on how track scripts work, so I had to try and fix the animations that are running on this showroom.
Now it's working, but I took the opportunity to rework on the script from scratch.
I still have to figure how to implement it's configuration, but it's really simple now, as you don't need to use animation of images in a folder anymore!
I'll probably add some new layouts too, and some new animation made by me in Blender for sure.
Steel Showroom 11: Art Gallery v1.1
I started working on a new area for this wonderful showroom. The layout is pretty good, but it still needs some working in some parts to make it look realistic.
Materials are already better, and with the Steel Studio App you can already create some good color combinations. More info on it coming soon.
Still, as you see, I need to add new paintings.
