As I was enjoying Aunt’s braless breasts, I found myself fully hard before I knew it.
Trying hard to hide it, I kept imprinting the sensation of her breasts on my face, when I noticed a change in Aunt as she stroked my head and back.
Compared to when she first hugged me, her breathing had quickened half a beat and her body temperature had risen to the point of feeling almost hot.
And the scent of pheromones mixed in with the shampoo confirmed it.
My anticipation, tinged with desire, started to swell little by little.
‘If Aunt is getting aroused too… maybe now is the time?’
Then, as I looked up, I saw Aunt’s cheeks tinged with a blush.
That flush, caused by the rush of blood, gave me a strange confidence, and our eyes met.
At that moment, I was sure my guess was right.
‘Those eyes… she’s not looking at me as a nephew.’
Back when I was dating my ex-girlfriend before enlisting, she always looked at me with eyes full of anticipation and desire right before we had sex.
‘Minwoo, my house is empty tonight…’
And now,
The look in Aunt Hyeyeon’s eyes as she gazed down at me was just like my ex’s.
To put it bluntly,
It was the gaze of a woman longing for an intimate moment with a man.
Immediately after,
I kept my mouth shut, not wanting to ruin the mood by saying something unnecessary, and started to rise.
Of course, I didn’t let go of my arms wrapped around her back and waist.
Now, with my taller frame, I was looking down at Aunt, and I could feel her gaze on me growing even more intense.
Right at that moment,
For the third time today, the little kid inside me shouted,
‘Yes! Now’s the time!’
Just as I was sure of success and started to lower my head,
A streak of bad luck swept in to cancel out all my previous fortune.
Bzzz! Buzz buzz buzz!
The vibration of my phone shattered the increasingly charged silence.
Even though it might have been a notification from the app, I wanted to ignore it in such a crucial moment…
But the pattern-a long vibration followed by three short buzzes-was something I absolutely couldn’t ignore.
Because it was the custom vibration I’d set for my mom.
A call from Mom, four hours earlier than the time we’d agreed to check in yesterday.
‘What’s this? She said everything was fine this morning… It can’t be, right?’
As worry and questions rose in my mind,
My phone vibrated once more in my pocket.
Bzzz! Buzz buzz buzz!
I had no choice but to release my arms from Aunt and hurriedly pull out my phone.
With my heart now pounding from anxiety rather than excitement, I tapped the screen where Mom’s picture appeared.
Aunt watched me with a look of confusion and concern.
She, too, seemed to sense that a call from Mom, earlier than promised, was not a good sign.
So, with both our faces darkened, I started the call with Mom.
“H-hello? Mom?”
Yeah, Minwoo, it’s Mom.
“Mom, nothing happened, right? There aren’t zombies in Jeju or anything-”
No, no, it’s safe here.
“Ha…”
Relieved that it wasn’t the bad news I feared, both Aunt and I let out a sigh of relief.
As that hot breath faded, I was a little annoyed and curious why Mom had called early.
“You scared me, Mom. Why did you call?”
I wanted to check if you saw NewTube.
“NewTube? Why? There wasn’t anything special around 3 earlier…”
Then check right now.
Mom suddenly told me to check NewTube.
Detecting a note of despair in her slightly trembling voice, I quickly put her on speaker and opened NewTube.
There, right below the algorithm recommendations, were two videos ranked #1 and #2 in trending.
[This is Real! Zombies in LA! 01:12]
[日本の福岡でゾンビ勃発 (Zombies break out in Fukuoka, Japan) 00:57]
Each about a minute long, with English and Japanese titles.
But the thumbnails looked strangely familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
‘Are zombies going global now, following the trend? Damn…’
It was the moment when the chances of outside help dropped off a cliff.
No matter how reliable the US might be, with their own house on fire, they wouldn’t have the bandwidth to help us.
. . .
After checking the two videos, which looked like they’d just filmed what happened in Seoul yesterday but in different locations,
I finished the call with Mom.
“Thanks for letting me know, Mom, but don’t call at random times anymore. If my phone rings when zombies are nearby, I could die… Just text me instead, okay?”
Okay… But don’t talk about dying. I’ll call at the scheduled time this evening. Take care, son.
“Got it. You stay safe too, Mom. Please just stay inside if you can.”
Mixing in a bit of humor as I asked her to avoid calling outside our scheduled times, Mom replied in a slightly regretful voice that she would.
She also scolded me not to mention dying, with loving concern.
We exchanged a final round of well-wishes and ended the call.
Immediately after,
As soon as the call ended, an uncomfortable silence settled over the living room again.
Remembering the moment right before my phone rang, I felt a wave of awkwardness that was hard to bear.
Just then,
Aunt Hyeyeon suddenly stood up and broke the silence first.
“Oh, right. I need to start dinner.”
She hurried off to the kitchen, mentioning “dinner,” which had already faded from my memory.
Without thinking, I blurted out,
“Then I’ll check the living room window and see what happened to the zombie horde on the first floor.”
Right.
I’m an idiot.
About three minutes after fleeing to the kitchen in that suffocating tension.
[Beep! Cooking has started.]
After washing rice and starting the rice cooker, Lee Hyeyeon quietly patted her pounding chest, trying not to make a sound.
But her heart wouldn’t calm down, no matter how hard she tried.
Then she recalled the moment right before her sister from Jeju called.
Her nephew, who had been in her arms, was now hugging her and looking down at her.
She remembered Minwoo bringing his face close, looking at her not as an aunt, but as a man looks at a woman.
Her heart, already racing, began to beat even faster.
“Hoo… hoo…”
She was out of breath just standing still.
With this, the conflict that had tilted to one side in her excitement exploded again inside her.
And the turmoil caused by this conflict only grew as she saw more of Kim Minwoo.
She naturally started to avoid looking at him.
Every time she saw him now, not as a nephew but as a man, she felt breathless.
After confirming that the living room window was fine except for a small crack and that the zombie horde on the first floor had dispersed,
Aunt and I had dinner together, as planned, with pork belly as the main dish.
But there was one problem…
The “atmosphere” was even stiffer and more awkward than it had been in the morning.
Aunt Hyeyeon didn’t even look at me during the meal, let alone speak.
She kept her eyes fixed on her bowl, and I could only quietly chew my rice and pork belly.
‘Well, I guess it makes sense. We almost kissed, after all… Actually, it would be even weirder if we pretended nothing happened… No, I should have just gone all the way earlier.’
. . .
After a dinner that almost gave me indigestion-actually, my stomach did feel a bit heavy-about two hours passed.
During that time, I also checked in with Mom.
The clock on the wall showed 10 p.m.
It was time to start the night watch shifts we’d decided on for more efficient nighttime security.
So, as I sat on the sofa with a bat across my thighs, taking the first shift (10 p.m. to 4 a.m.),
The master bedroom door, which Aunt had gone into 30 minutes earlier, quietly opened.
Through the small opening, Aunt’s beautiful face peeked out.
Her flawless skin, neat forehead, sparkling eyes, and sharp nose.
Her look was so pure and subtly alluring that it was hard to believe she was forty, and it felt like the heaviness in my stomach from dinner just vanished.
Suddenly, the saying “Looks last three years, personality lasts thirty” popped into my head.
‘Saying looks only last three years in marriage is total bullshit. Just seeing her face makes me happy, and now I even feel at ease inside.’
Next moment.
Aunt didn’t meet my eyes… instead, she looked around my knees and spoke.
“Minwoo, I’m going to bed first. I just need to come out at 4, right?”
“Yes, Aunt, that’s right. Good night.”
“Yeah… you’ve worked hard too, Minwoo…” click
She closed the door, still sounding awkward.
Not long after,
My phone vibrated in my pocket, as if it had been waiting for this moment.
Bzzz!
