Grim Reaper Reward Event Mod Issues
🕑 Added 2024-09-25 17:04:30 +0000 UTCThere are several mods that are conflicting with the new Grim Reaper Rewards Event.
See the info below (thanks to amethyst lilac) for the list of mods that are causing issues ↓
For the Reaper’s Rewards Event:
• TOOL: blocks the rewards
• No Discovery Quests by Frankk: blocks the rewards• BetterBuildBuy: turn off Organized Debug and restart the game to complete the planting objectives. It is NOT enough to remove the mod. You must disable Organized Debug or repair the game.
• NPCO by Bosselady: breaks Expedite the Mail Delivery• MCCC or any other mod that pauses the game on loading: do not use pause on zone. It will break the rewards UI.
While the challenge is active (you have or are supposed to have tasks to complete):
• Do not pause, save, and close the game. It will break the rewards UI.
• Do not pause and go into CAS. It will break the rewards UI.
• Do not pause and do anything else that involves going through a loading screen. It will break the rewards UI.
If your rewards UI is open but blank, do not save. If you have saved, or if you don’t save but it remains blank after re-opening anyway, delete accountDataDB.package from your The Sims 4 folder. You will have to repeat some tasks if you’ve already completed some, but they should be functional (unless something causes them to break again). This will affect your Happy Home Login rewards, which is fixable using other workarounds.
Once you’ve completed this week’s tasks and everything is functioning, it’s recommended to back up your accountDataDB.package file, so that if something happens to the rewards UI between now and when the next set of rewards are available, you’ll have this week’s completed. That is where the live data (what you’re doing now) is stored. The actual rewards (any that aren’t one-time things, like potions or books) are unlocked with your account
Important note: if you have all of this weeks rewards, all you’ll see if little grim, even if you didn’t complete all tasks.
The mods listed above can also be found in the Mod List by checking the new Current Issues box as shown below ↓
Your view will look slightly different if using the SFW or Patreon Edition
If any additional mods are found to cause issues they will also be listed when checking the Current Issues box.
None of these mods are going to be listed as Broken based on this temporary event. However, the incompatibility with the event will be noted in the Notes as the ones listed above were.

• Refreshed Main Menu by Simmatically, maybe other main menu overrides: blocks the rewards
Creator confirms it does not block rewards.

That's because there was a patch after this was posted that fixed the issues on EA's side.

I use/d Pause on Zone when this notice came up for Reaper Rwards, no trouble.

The patch resolved the issues on EA's side, but mods can still cause those issues, so tick the Current Issues box in the list to make sure you don't have any that interfere.

yeah mine still wont let me go past the plant snapdraggon even after the patch. tried starting a new game and everything. welp

Everything I know is in the post. Tool has been updated to fix the issue. There's also a small patch scheduled for next week to fix the event issues.

Does this mean if I have already done the "pause, save, close" thing that I can no longer get the rewards? I also have my MCCC set to pause on loading of lot. If I delete the "account data" file, will it fix it? I can deal without TOOL for a little while =)

Anyone else had the issue where planting the snapdragon wont acknowledge that you've planted one? Literally the only problem so far im having and ive tried so many times.

I use MCCC and bbb but i havent had any issues with the rewards, but i thank you so much for being so informative and up to date

Thanks for sharing the information, Scarlet. I'm glad I don't use that MCCC setting, but I will have to remove TOOL and Better BuildBuy from Mexi temporarily. Do you know if the mods affect the rewards after you've got them?

Hi there! Pause on Zone is a MCCC setting. I fixed the bullet points that was under MCCC before and adjusted formatting (doesn't transfer well from discord when bullet points are involved). Should make more sense now. Those are in general though, so with or without mods. Sorry for the confusion!

I dont have any mods but MCCC, and i am still a little new to tge sims, what does on the zone mean? And does the other bullets under that mean with or without mods/MCCC? I just wanted to make sure!!
