He's a much higher level then he was when he fought Cerberus (he didn't even have his army yet). The second boss he fought was a necromancer, basically the lower class version of his skill (I am saying this mostly because they don't address this in the anime, it was cut out from some monologue he had after defeating it). Altho everything seems really fast paced, this is very close to the original material. Living mid renovations is a nightmare, take your time, I believe that's stressful enough, especially with pets around.
