Hey Civvie, I really enjoyed this! Just in case you weren't aware, Mr. Jacobi actually went back and gave Chex Quest 1 and 2 some touch-ups when he released part 3, including some layout changes (check out the original Cinema!). The rushed nature of CQ2 really really shows in those original levels.

Glad to see that the ’Soviet Yes Grain’ -adventure got a worthy finale in the end. 😁 I’ve been aware of this little weird crunchy semi-gem (or slimy .wad…? 🤔) for a long time, but never tried it. I think you did this whole, weird, cocaine-infused design affair justice with this one. 👍 I’m also glad that this video will inevitably bring much more well-deserved recognition to the original lead artist - the man behind part 3. You make something good with genuine love and affection, and it should be rewarded - if only with weird cult fame. Funny little additional bit, by the way, that in the game lore the ’Invasion’ happens after 10 years have passed since the ending of part 2 - and Jacobi then goes on and releases part 3 pretty much around 10 years later. Probably unintentional, but if not, it’s almost Romero-esque dedication. Worth a tip o’ the hat, that one.

Amazing, everything I could have hoped for and more! I'm a bit surprised you didn't touch on the fact that if you boot up the original Chex Quest with the level warp parameter you can get to the rest of the Ultimate Doom levels, but I suppose that fact is available in every post about Chex Quest ever and I'm just purpetuating that fact by posting it here
