RETURN TO CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN - SCHLOCK AND AWE
🕑 Added 2022-08-29 14:26:41 +0000 UTCIt's been like forever and a year since the Wolfenstein 3D video and I'm not going to dedicate much time to Spear Of Destiny, and I'm going to devote even less time to the Spear expansions because they are beneath contempt. Not even showing the bats. This video is long enough as it is and I've hacked off about 5 minutes.
Welcome to the first episode in 4k, a process that went a lot smoother than I expected, you know, besides having to remake half of my go-to graphics that were made for 1080p. New credits graphics! New rainbow overlay for time jumps! That's not what you're here for, you're here for that bona fide classic nazi shooter and tail-end of Xatrix's redemption arc.
For their success, they were merged into Treyarch, and now they too roam the Call of Duty mines, voiceless specters, silently yearning for freedom that may never come. Activision shafted them like a common Raven Software. What a shame. So it goes.
If you're asking why this isn't "Pro Return to Castle Wolfenstein" it's because that title is even more of an ugly mouthful than "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" is.
About halfway through the scripting process I saw that Indeimaus was making an RTCW video too and I won't forgive his Aussie treachery. I've dispatched a crack team of emus to his location.

If you'd like to have a different name in the credits than what you pledged with, leave me a comment, or DM me on here or Twitter or discord or whatever. If your name is wrong, not included, or anything else, shoot me a message calling me an asshole and telling me to fix it.
Or if you want one of those fancy colored names that everyone gets now if they want. The credits in the video are usually a couple of days behind the actual patron list so if you don't see your name, it will be in the next upload.

I've never played RTCW, but I still recognized a lot of things in this game because I've come to realize that it serves as the base for Wolfenstein RPG which I played a lot of. The entire crypt section and it's boss is carried over, the shield and fire zombies, super soldier s, elite squad, flame troopers, weapons like the venom and tesla guns, there's even a reference to the General Von Stuff conversation! It was pretty wild to see where they came from, even if the RPG got a Cyber demon instead of an ancient zombified metal singer.
