MARVEL UPDATES
🕑 Added 2023-12-20 15:30:45 +0000 UTCSo as I expected the idea is still to include Kang in some capacity in the Untitled Avengers 5
Plan is still to start shooting it in 2024. Now late 2024
They are searching for a director and one should be announced in the coming months
The first Avengers movie will have more limited number of Avengers
They changed the ending of Echo because she's not longer a lock to appear in Daredevil: Born Again. So only tease left is Fisk running for mayor of NYC
Ironheart will get extended reshooting in 2024 which is why it's not coming out till 2025
For Captain America 4 I still hear the action scenes is the main thing they are changing but they also want the second act to flow better. Some scenes dragged too long. Which is why they hired a new writer
Multiple projects involving Mutants are in development and the next Saga will be about the Mutants
Young Avengers will be a film as they decided all the big events will be theatrical. They've learned their leasons from Secret Imvasion. Only small projects and more focused on character will be headed to Disney+

How much do you think Avengers 5 has changed/will change due to Waldron coming on board?
Matt Hopkins
Lot of speculation going around about Majors’ appearance on GMA which is also owned by Disney. Does this mean they are surveying public opinion for a potential rehire?

A Secret Invasion prequel/prologue show makes sense to set up a Secret Invasion movie. A movie just isn't long enough IMHO
Hunter
Any idea on the F4 cast? They’re supposed to start shooting here in a few months right?
Chance Calloway
Who are the new avengers?
Daniel R
I don't think he's going be a leader but he will be a lead character yeah
Flavio Medina
Will Spider-Man lead the Avengers in the upcoming Avengers 5 and Secret Wars?
Daniel R
No updates till after new year
Timbo Baggins
Dan, if this is off topic then I understand. Since it was a general Marvel post I thought I’d ask, have you heard any updates on the F4 casting situation?
Elijah Green
Since they’ve already started meeting with writers for the X-Men reboot when do you think the movie could actually come out? Would 2028 be a good guess?
Daniel R
A franchise
Elijah Green
Do they see Young Avengers as a franchise or is it a one time thing?
Daniel R
Yes still happening

Is the Wiccan show/Childrens Crusade thing still happening at all, still? I thought it looked like maybe it was 2024 (thank you for all of the responses!)
