Update 1 on Sailor Moon Project

I've started to chop up Asuka and have initiated the modding, my first step here is to split the parts and mod them so that it doesn't like like I'm just switching pieces between kits.
I started by painting 4 indicators, 2 in the front and 2 in the back so when I cut the piece in 2, I will be able to align them when I change the position of the torso
Then I continued to saw the piece in half. Once I did that, I placed some sticky tac in between the pieces so I can calculate how much putty and how wide will I need to open the angle to make her more straight but not completely.
So now that I have an idea, I needed to cut some butt on her back because since I'm re-positioning her legs, the booty needs to be corrected, so off to chopping it goes.
Then I proceeded to cut the legs so I can open them more from the knee.
This is how the body looks like at this point
Now, what I did after that was pin the divided pieces with so I can make a new angle.
So the pin goes through both pieces and helps to maintain them that way so I can add some putty to start the mod.
The same with the torso
And the same has to be done to the back, because if not, it will look like she has very very large lungs xD
So the base for the mods on her body are done, now it will be time to fine detail all these mods.
In the meantime, I decided to see if I could add some nails to her hands, I surprised even myself xD
It took a while and a lot of patience, but they turned out great!
The way I did this was placing a small piece of masking tape on the bottom of her hand to act as support, because I used MoriMori putty and this is not epoxy putty, this is a paste, you need to mix a catalyst to make it work. I love this putty, because it isn't fragile when it hardens, quite the contrary, it's very resistant once completely cured. So that's what you will see me work with every time you see yellow putty :D
All in all, I think it's a great start!

Oooo! So THAT'S the pose! I was trying to think how exactly it would look but as you can imagine it's hard to see it with your mind with choice words. I love it! This is going to be ssooo amazing!

If you're just starting the hobby, I highly recommend using acrylics as most are water or solvent base and have minimum to no toxicity, lacquers on the other hand are highly toxic and unless you have the necessary equipment like a spry booth, I would avoid using them
New to the hobby here. Confused about what type of paint I should use.... acrylic or lacquer?
