Noctilucent Clouds over the sea
🕑 Added 2025-07-20 10:00:04 +0000 UTCA nice display of NLC, captured July 15, this year. Theoretically this is a sunset afterglow, as it's sunlight hitting those thin, 80km high clouds ;-)

I checked the Exif data: For the first photo it's ISO 800, F3.5, 6 seconds. 6 seconds is actually too long as the 'NLC' move faster than it seems. But it gives a nice smooth foreground in this case.

Wow, that's a very pretty phenomenon ! I just looked up some noctilucent clouds timelapse video's and they are gorgeous. What kind of exposure time do you use for shots like these ?
