Seamus, after work π 2k
🕑 Added 2024-09-03 17:00:11 +0000 UTCit's saturday night, 2am, the bars are closing, people crowding the streets. but in an alleyway just out of sight (barely) Seamus is waiting for the flirty busboy to come out and meet him and blow off a little steam...
I really enjoyed working on this one! the setting, the lighting, and all the details of the characters were a blast to figure out. I intentionally placed the busboy in deep shadow - I didn't want the BJ action to take over the whole piece, but also, I thought it would emphasize his anonymity, and the way Seamus is trying to view this whole transaction as something throwaway, that doesn't matter and he doesn't need to own up to. he's very excited and wants it bad, but at least for now... for him, this belongs in the dark. I think the busboy doesn't mind. just hope his jaw makes it out of this alright π
hope you guys like this one!!

This is great! Love the little peekaboo of his happy trail

oh man can you imagine. equal parts panic and arousal. maybe that's what he's looking for!! "was it tonight he was gonna meet me here after close..??"

I just love the story you tell with the lighting and Seamus' facial expression. How the 'act' is in shadow while he looks around anxiously. I feel like part him doesn't want anyone to see this but another part wants Eddie to come across this scene haha.

I'm assuming we probably won't learn his name, but I hope he returns! The Seamus Cinematic Universe is growing

aw man cant tell you how much it means to hear you (and other guys) actually noticing this stuff and responding to it!!! I love that. I was really trying hard to hit those exact story notes with what I was painting. I think it's so fun to try to get across some tension and character development, while also making a (hopefully) sexy/erotic scene. I do like the sense of dark, shadowy intimacy here. In a way it's distorted, since Seamus feels no intimacy at all with the busboy, and yet... this is such a secret and erotically charged act for him that it means all that much more for us to catch a glimpse.
Celery Man
I love how you almost dont notice the BJ happening at first!! cause of how much shadow it's in. you have to look closer and then, oh!
Celery Man
thanks man, so kind of you. I am really enjoying making art like this which is equal parts erotic and also narrative-driven
Celery Man
thank you!! ππ really tried to evoke that sense of a late night in the city on the weekend
Celery Man
I feel like he does at least part of the time. he's working for tips, after all!!
Celery Man
thank you sir, I loved going all in on the details of the city back there. I'm so happy you dig it!!
Celery Man
love that reading of his expression and tension. I think so too. this poor busboy (ok, not "poor" at all considering he's having the time of his life imo) is so anonymous in Seamus's mind. but you know there are some intrusive thoughts overtaking things... wonder if it has anything to do with his home situation.
Celery Man
he is us, and we are him π
Celery Man
thanks man!! I was a touch worried that people would be disappointed that there wasn't a big ass spotlight on the blowjob so they could see the details better - but, I thought this approach emphasized the storyline more so I went with that instead!!

This is gorgeous! The lighting is fabulous and I love the choice to put the 'action' in shadow like that, and along with Seamus' well lit expression, it really pushes how illicit he feels this interaction is (not that I expect him to dwell too much on the reasons he feels that way about it). The way your art has progressed is amazing, I've always felt like your environments and scenes are evocative and draw you in to their reality, but I really feel like we're intruding on something kind of, intimate, when looking at this piece, like we're the cause for Seamus' anxious glance.

Something so much more naughty and taboo about this one, love it

Wonderful, lustful, amazing work. You really know how to put together a scene and make it cum to life! XOXO

This is amazing I love that background!!

Gosh, does Seamus really go commando? J
Nocturne 13
I might do that but I was hoping for the clean version because I'd like to have the city lights in the alley not cropped out. Plus I think it would be so sexy to effectively see 5 minutes earlier...

How could we not like it? Fantastic work! Not just the guys, but the city background, too.

Deeds done in the dark indeed! Seamus must have been having some strange thoughts and finally gave into curiosity. The scene gives me the impression he has his mind on someone else and another situationβ¦ he also seems tense. Good thing heβs exploring this feeling and unloading hisβ¦ concerns π

It is a painting yet I am jelous of the Glassy

100% agree

I am zooming in on Seamus to censor out (Anthony) sucking on his irish meat. Because yes, this one is absolute lock-screen gold!

This is amazing. The lighting really helps convey how Seamus feels about the situation.
Celery Man
thanks man!! I am not sure yet what the variations will be. I'd love to do a clean one like that, but it just comes down to what I can fit into the time!!
Celery Man
thank you sir! I went through a lot of iterations trying to find it!!
Celery Man
heyoo this feels like a form of workman's comp? and thanks gooey π

Celery Man
thank you!! π you know I love getting into those details haha
Nocturne 13
I really like it. The whole composition is great. Do you think there will be a variation before the pants are opened? Might put it on the lock screen..

How do you do this? How do you keep raising the artistic stakes and creating something above-and-beyond the amazing work you've already done? This is outstanding by any merits. Just fantastic.
