My father left the house and became estranged from my grandfather. Soon after, my mother told me that I had a new "little brother." I no longer cared about such things. My mother probably felt the same way. Looking back, I am astonished at how insensitive I was at the time. I was only interested in the nightmare that unfolded every night, accompanied by the cries of pleasure, rather than the circumstances of my family.
