Perdita’s Outfits

My favorite part of painting always used to be rendering. But ever since i got the iPad I started having so much more fun with sketching. Somehow it feels easier, more intuitive. I guess having the option to turn the screen any direction does a lot. Also the tilt and pressure control makes it faster :)But enough of me awing about my new toy, haha. I tried a different approach to this painting. More painterly with no sketch outline to better control the colors and values straight from the beginning. Well, I was not satisfied with the result so I started over the next day with fresh eyes. My first Procreate paintings

You bet that as soon as I got my hands on the new iPad I had to jump straight to painting! Here are my two first attempts. I immediately fell in love with the dry ink brush. Also I’m working on a little picture story about how Lfiewedd first turned into a human. Fingers crossed I actually get to finish it before the “creators high” dies down, haha.How do you like it?
