Uooooh, yeeting a little WIP in here to share my process! I am trying to abandon clean lineart a little atm and work in a more sketchy, painted style. I already feel like it helps a lot with composition and setting the tone. EHEM-- I promise it is going to be spicy. NOT angsty. But I cannot help the dark fantasy aesthetic for them in this setting, since Hawks is meant to be an assassin.

So I tried something new -- and I honestly love the outcome. Just jumping into rendering without cleaning up the sketch. Guess I should try that more often. I will definitely do it again to give his royal highness a matching bird in the same format!
