Fun times are back!

This past week we were able to take our boys on their first trip to the movies and arcade since the start of the COVID pandemic. They got to go out to eat at their favorite Chinese restaurant, play lots of arcade games, and enjoy a movie on the big screen in the air conditioned theater!

New Home Update!

Hey everyone! We are completing the final stages of our renovation project in our home at Las Lomas. We have placed tile throughout the home, repaired/replaced multiple doors and cabinets, replaced broken hardware, and repainted. Soon we will be able to welcome 8 new boys to this home. Back to school

In March 2020 all schools in Peru were closed to in-person learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the past 2 years learning has occurred online, through TV, and even on the radio. We have been very fortunate to have 4 wonderful teachers who have continued to teach our kids over the past 2 years. Today, however, Iquitos has reopened their schools to in-person learning. Aporcar

Our home in the city of Iquitos is called Aporcar. This is an indigenous word that means "to till" the soil. Our pray is that this home would provide freshly tilled for our boys lives to take root.

Grand Opening!

We are so excited to announce that we have opened our second bungalow in Aporcar (our city home in Iquitos). Tony and Rosa and their boys have graduated from Las Lomas and have officially moved in to their brand new house in the city. We had a great celebration with story telling, singing, dancing, good food and a mariachi band of course!

2022 Patch Design

Woodworking Workshop

Learning happens in all sorts of ways. We provide our children with special activities outside of the classroom to provide plenty of opportunities to expand their education. Our extracurricular activities span from violin lessons, dance/theater, sports, and even taxidermy. Here our kids are learning how to carve wooden boats.

Remote Learning

When the COVID-19 outbreak began in March, Peru cancelled in-person classes for the entire year. In response, we hired additional teachers to help educate our kids within our homes. They continue to receive instruction from their local school so access to technology like the internet and tablets has been essential to continue their education. For several months Iquitos was on military lockdown due to COVID-19. Luckily, our kids have plenty of activities to do and acres of land to enjoy.
