Happy Valentinaversay Day!

I made a Valentine's Day card just for you!...and Happy Anniversary, too!Twenty-three years ago today, I posted my first comic on the Web. Greystone Inn, first appeared on a GeoCities site on February 14, 2000.On April 16, 2001, it began running in the Philadelphia Daily News. Several other newspapers would pick up the comic, but only the Daily News ran it from its first strip to the last.Grey...

Bonus cartoon — Monster romance

Let's start the week with a bonus!

AMA - Corporate webcomics?

Q: We've seen so, so many webcomics go off the rails due to issues with the creators' health, or personal life, or simply not having the drive to do it as anything more than a hobby or side gig, do you think the webcomics industry would benefit from a more corporate structure where syndicates could provide editors and marketing?A.: I don't think that would work very well.We have well o...

I'm thrilled at the opportunity to share the work with you today.Bea&Giò are two OCs who, like ‘actresses', interpret different erotic romance webcomics and illustrations with LGBT and body-positive themes.Like Tezuka's manga characters, DaZa's delightful duo are always themselves but in different ad...

AMA — How do you handle NSFW and kids?

Q.: You obviously have a very open view of sex and sexuality. You also are a father. How did you share your views with your kids and foster an environment of openness without, you know, messing up your kids forever? Asking as a somewhat young father.A.: When I was considering making the move to NSFW comics, one of the things I considered was the effect this would have on my sons. At the time, my o...

Evil Inc After Dark #63, Page 4

This scene occurs shortly after this moment...You may be wondering about the demon that Desi's dad sent to retrieve the grimoire. He's actually related to this guy...Ever since I drew that shopkeeper, I liked the character design so much that I wanted to bring it back in some way. This seemed like a great time to do so!Cthulhoids: Both the shopkeeper and the creature in today's EiAD ar...

You're sleeping on romance novels

My wife had been telling me for years that I was missing a lot of good stuff by not reading romance novels. However, my opinion of romance novels was pretty skewed by the stuff I saw on the newsstands when I was a kid.Needless to say, I had a lot to learn about today's romance novel. So, when I started looking for something to listen to while working in the studio, I decided to try a few of he...

AMA — Commissions, non-EI EiAD stories, and older "rookies"

Q.: I've noticed the change to commissions where they are less of a pin-up piece and more like a one-panel mini-story. I definitely think they're fun, but I was curious what brought about that change.A.: I saw an opportunity to amp up the spice level on some of the scenes by adding story elements. This one is a good example. It's also a chance to sneak in a little more Evil Inc backstor...

NSFW commission — Miss Match and the Elf

Today's NSFW commission pairs Miss Match with a mysterious elf! This scene is part of a theme in which Miss Match is transported into a swords-and-sorcery dimension. I've included some of the previous commissions in the post.
