And then y’all saying it was OK to kill the soldiers no, it wasn’t, they surrendered. They were unarmed. They rang the bells and they surrendered. They were not fighting at that point just like the civilians which makes them innocent along with the civilians so that’s still wrong to me.

Daenerys made power moves for the benefit of herself and disguised them as her being a savior for other people, like the slaves, and this all started when she made the decision to kill her brother. a very valid decision, but it was the start of her descent into madness for power.

Dany turned into a phony. She switched up on her entire cause, everything she stood for, went down the drain when she started killing all those innocent people and even the soldiers after they surrendered. She was right up until the moment she decided to destroy the city anyways after the bells rang. Her crash out was valid up until that point she destroyed her image for a seat of power. Now ima chalk that up to bad writing because the writers knew what they were doing, and they turned her character into this. Don’t like it at all, but the character development was definitely there from the beginning of the show to convey signs of her leading up into this point, it didn’t just come out of nowhere.
