You're not wrong about the horse and balls thing. However, you are meant to use your thighs and the stirrups to raise your butt off the horse when it's running. Look at how race jockeys ride. They don't actually sit in the saddle. Use your legs like springs/shocks in a car to absorb the vertical movement of the horse. But yeah, if you're only sitting in the saddle, that happens.

This whole show is super wholesome. For as much as I praise shows with adult/middle-aged, rational MCs, Souma is easily one of my favorite "younger" MCs strictly because of the seemingly rational decisions he makes throughout. If you threw him into Isekai Quartet, he'd lose his effing mind. The only one who could match him in rationality is Rimuru, and even then, it's a tough sell. Rimuru has Raphael helping him, and he's not as constricted as Souma because of his broken abilities.
