🕑 Added 2021-12-16 23:09:24 +0000 UTCso this week i'm going back at the beginning of the game to fix a thing that was missing. After the ticket inspector checks your id and you choose your appearance, you'll take a selfie to mark the start of your new life in the big city. Since the appearance you pick will be reflected ingame, i had to make three selfie for each appearance:
next, i made the background and animation for the white line: The game has this thematic element regarding subways, and the white line is the main subway route that brings you from the central station to the heart of the city.
each time you pick a line to travel you'll be showed a cutscene of your character traveling (don't worry, they're brief and skippable). And well, that means i have to draw them all riding the train
couldn't really finish rendering them but i figured i'd show you the sketches anyways.

I gotta say, this is pretty elaborate for establishing the player character! Most VNs tend to just be comfortable with "guy with eyes cast in shadow by their hair" who's design you see in promo materials and such. But it's also very intriguing, and the effort's clearly paying off since these are all VERY cute designs on their own. Nice stuff!
