Connor heaved himself up the front steps. Every day it seemed to get a little harder.
Evening, Connor, said one of the lab techs as she exited the building. Youre here late.
Yeah. Just some paperwork to catch up on, Connor responded, forcing a smile
Hi Doctor Charles. Another scientist stopped in the corridor. Looking good.
Thanks Kenneth, Connor responded.
You shouldnt be carrying that. Let me help you with that briefcase
No, its fine, Connor insisted.
I know things are coming to a head. Let me know if you need help with anything, said Kenneth. He had been trying to get in on the project from the beginning.
Will do, Connor lied as he trudged onward.
He gave nods and forced smiles to a few more scientists on their way out of the building, but it was late enough that the lab had mostly emptied out. Once Connor reached his office, he closed the blinds and locked the door before dumping his briefcase in a corner. He plopped down behind his desk and frowned down at himself.
He was the labs Success Story. But nobody knew the amount of stress he was under.
Connor ran his hand up his round, turning belly. With the assistance of a 5 million dollar grant, he had managed to accomplish the first male pregnancy ever achieved in history. And he had done better than that. He was at term with child. Well a little beyond term, to be honest. But he tried to keep that little detail hidden from his funders.
Breathing heavily, Connor unbuttoned the white shirt stretched over his nine-month pregnant belly. He exposed the pregnancy girdle that contained it. His fingers trembling, Connor quickly unlatched the girdle and opened it. His belly surged outwards several inches to its true, over-due-looking state. Connor panted once he was freed of confinement. Next, his hands moved up to the tight chest band containing his pecs. He slid it off, revealing the round B-cups he had been hiding. They gently bobbed as Connor caught his breath.
Yes, the pregnancy had been a monstrous success, but Connor had promised his funders that he would be able to give natural birth to the child. Connors work was being published in dissertations, medical journals, even documentaries. And his funds had been exhausted. Everything was coming to a head, and he just couldnt own up to what he had promised.
So he flubbed the dates a little. Altered them to make it seem like he was almost at term and not four weeks overdue. He had been certain that he could fix things by now
He had been wrong, and Connor was starting to panic. He had tried drugs, exercises, even sexual intercourse. Nothing could seem to induce labor. Now his milk was coming in, his ass was swelling, and the pregnancy was weighing so heavily on his prostate that he had a near-constant erection. He didnt want to give up, but this was getting dangerous. His body was just under so much strain.
Ohhhh Connor groaned, rubbing his belly as he felt a particularly strong squirm. The baby wanted out. God, he wanted it out. He felt as though he was ready to pop.
His window of opportunity to give birt was closing rapidly. If the baby grew even a centimeter larger, it wasnt going to fit out of his pelvis at all. Even pushing it out now seemed like a stretch. The thing had to be at least twenty pounds.
Maybe it was time to call it quits and schedule a cesarean. There would be so much disappointment. His funders might even demand for him to return the grant. This thought left Connor in constant anxiety.
Nnnngghhhh Connor groaned as his insides turned again. His dick sprung erect and prodded at the underside of his belly. His face reddened and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
This sucked. It sucked so much. Connor wiped his eyes. He breathed deeply, in and out. He knew what he had to do. He had known for a while. Things were getting unsafe. He reached out onto his desk and lifted the phone
There was a knock on the door. Connor paused. He hastily tugged his chest band back down. He didnt have the time to struggle back into the girdle, so he buttoned closed what he could of his shirt. None of the lower buttons could seem to contain his belly at all. Who is it? Connor called.
Janitor, a male voice responded.
Connor sighed. It took some time, but he heaved himself out of his chair. He would tell the janitor to leave and he would get back to his call. Connor waddled over to the door and opened it just slightly.
But it was pushed the rest of the way open. Connor was suddenly face to face with a gun. A man in a ski mask had it pointed at Connors head.
Connor held his belly in panic. W-what do you want?
I want the grant, responded the stranger in a hoarse, deep voice. He was tall and lined with muscle.
Its g-gone, Connor stammered. Its spent.
The stranger cocked his gun. The grant! he repeated.
Oh god, said Connor. He entire body was trembling. The tension peaked at his belly which felt like it would explode. Its gone. I spent it. I swear. Ohhhh The baby gave a powerful squirm. It had stopped kicking weeks ago. It just didnt have the space.
The stranger stood there, watching Connor in silence for a while. Seconds turned to minutes, and Connor thought he might collapse.
Then youre coming with me, said the stranger coldy.
Connor paled. P-please. I c-cant. Tears sprung from Connors eyes. Im v-very pregnant, and if I dont give birth soon, I might just b-burst. Connor continued to rub his belly, trying to get the baby to relax. He was mortified that he had dissolved to tears. Maybe it was the increased hormones of his condition. Maybe it was the panic of having a gun pointed in his face.
The stranger ignored Connors pleas, grabbed the scientist by the upper arm and jamming the gun into his back. He proceeded to drag Connor out to a back exit of the building and towards a black car waiting outside.
And Connor mused that if being kidnapped didnt induce labor, he didnt think that anything would.
