July Update

Anyway, we're hard at work on the next big content update for August. But until then, here's a smaller (we did just release a week ago after all) update to hold you over. Starting August 5th, Patrons can expect a new Patron build every month on the 5th. Of course, Public builds will always be available, they'll just be 30 days behind.
Changelog
- Added the Pirate Interceptor, a Low level combat encounter. You can find him or her roaming the Cloud as well as at the Abandoned Mine.
- Added the Reacher Trench, a High level encounter of Reacher Pods location deep within the Cloud (10+ Jumps). If you enjoyed the Reacher in the tutorial, then you'll like this one.
- Added Performance boosts from Iannan.
- Added hold space, now you'll have to think twice about scrap and fuel.
- Added [Sell Artifacts] to Paltrey's shop. Where do you find Artifacts? Deep within the Cloud...
- Added a new font to the start screen, FAQ, and Credits. Also clarified all 3.
- You can now save on the ship when not in port.
- A massive suite of bug and typo fixes, refactoring, and rebalancing based on recent player feedback. Thanks again everyone!
- Added Lara, the player's rival. She's not for everyone, but she does play an extremely important role in the story, and will be involved in future mission lines. You can randomly encounter her at Bitter Lake, after you've named your ship. 15,000 words.
- You can now have spaces in your name, or your ship's name.
- Added male player art, fixed an arm seam on the female player art.
- Added a Download button for your save file.
- Added a Warp Back option.
- Increased the time that passes whenever you jump.
- Removed the shooting stars surrounding the player's mouse cursor.
- Encounters now depend on how deep you jump. For example, some encounters don't even happen until you're at least 5 or even 10 jumps in.
- You can no longer max out luck to 100 easily.
- Improved the buying and selling screens. Now it's easier to buy and sell in bulk.
- Fixed cross browser compatibility issues, including the scroll wheel bug in Firefox and the "An unexpected error has occurred" message.
- Fixed an issue that erroneously triggered a false positive in some antivirus programs.

I got an unexpected error when applying the benefits of Iannan's submission. It allowed me to select multiple categories, I think 3 "me's" before crashing.

the performance boost is submission based, not Favor based, you get one or every submission level you get, currently submission caps at level 1

How does the Iannan favor and performance boost work? I have 32 favor, 10 submission and 0 submission level (in hud stats) and I still can't unlock first performance boost so did I do something wrong (not enough favor etc)?. On a game restarted in version 07/07

When the changes are extremely minor hotfixes, we tend not to post 1 line Changelogs. In this case the alert just means you can keep playing, but we can't predict what will happen due to the change. This will be a rare occurrence, except perhaps during this first month when we're still ironing out all the bugs.

Separately from that, as I write this, the public website tells me that it is on the "2019-07-10 (Public Build)" version, and loading a save file from 2019-07-05, which was on the version of this post (with the Pirate Interceptor), warns me that "Due to save breaking changes, starting a new game is recommended". Was there really an undocumented save-breaking update just now, or is this just a UI bug?

Hello, I see that this post, as well as the game itself, says to report problems "on our Discord". But neither the game, nor this post, nor the Patreon front description actually links to this Discord, which seems like an error. Can you clarify?

Just a side suggestion, but one of the default adjectives for hermaphrodite characters' (and I expect female and maybe shemale and trap characters) thighs is "chunky" - which is kind of derogatory and not especially sexy to a lot of people.

Is there a prefered venue/format (I'd prefer not Discord, but it that's what it is, I guess I'll figure it out) for reporting spelling/grammatical/body-part-description-call errors and the like? I'll admit that very much used to the Fenoxo bug report forums (especially since they eventually adopted official guidelines that followed the way I was reporting such things) for that kind of thing.

Fixed the phrasing in the Changelog, thanks. On August 5th the Patron build will be version 08-05 and the Public build will be version 07-05. Then on September 5th the Patron build will be version 09-05 and the Public build will be version 08-05. Hope that clears things up!

Some weapons can bypass Shields. For the next patch we'll add the Combat Tutorial to the HUD so players can review it.

I'd like to mention that you should rephrase the "You can now save in the Cloud", it could lead players to believe that you should be able to save while exploring in the cloud, and not save to your patreon account. EDIT: (Accidentally pressed enter lol) I'm also wondering, is the public updates going to arrive on the 5th, every month after August, just, technically a month later, so we get the August patch the 5th of September? I'm just making sure I know when to stop by and if I understood it correctly.
The job choices at the start suck can't you be a EX soldier that would be cool.

Iannan is basically Hand So right? Always wanted to see more content for her, so Iannan being a focus - on top of the good writing and interesting premise/plot - means I am very excited to see what this game brings.

are there battles where the enemy can bypass your ships shields, if not there is a bug with the battle cheat that is letting the enemy bypass your shields.
