Made a slideshow breaking down and explaining my process behind creating the painting of Eddie and Kal on vacation together!!
POLL: Help design a new character, PART 2 โจ + ??
The first poll to help design a new character in the D&D-inspired fantasy universe is complete!! For the new character's major element, you all voted on HOLY. Verrix will finally get a Holy-aligned ally!!Now time to choose the second one. Verrix himself is Holy+Lightning, so I'll remove that from the options. Instead, consider the other three choices: Fire, Ice, or Shadow. I've done a ...
POLL: Help design a new character! ๐ฎ March 2025 edition
Alright Mighty Celery Stalks, we're back at it again! We're gonna take a break from the real world in March and hit up the D&D-inspired fantasy universe again. In this first poll, you guys can vote ...
bonus: Kal ๐ stat sheets, SFW & after dark
We did Seamus and Eddie last month, now time to add the third member of this triangle!! Enjoy learning a bit more about this big furry guy. Anybody feel like they have compatibility with him??Also - I decided to use the D&D-style "Race/Species" line for the character's ethnic background. I went back to the sheets I made for Seamus and Eddie and updated them with that extra detail! That...
Sketch: Seamus and... Random Gym Bro??๐๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
oh boy. Eddie's out of town on vacation with Kal, and looks like Seamus might be going through some feelings. Maybe looking to distract himself... with another repressed (tortured) DL guy he met at the gym? and even experimenting a little, pushing his boundaries?? ๐ฅต๐ฆextra excited to draw all the details of gymbro's slovenly, hoarder apartment. get ready for this on march 1st!!
Eddie & Kal โ๐ vacation variations, 4k
I was thinking about where I could take this scene for the variant versions and thought, maybe it's more of a group resort situation? I don't think this version is canon, but, it's fun to imagine!! The simpler painting style that I used for the characters in this scene worked to my advantage, made it easier to add a whole bunch of other dudes. Also a sunset version cause I'm addicte...

Eddie & Kal โ๐ vacation breakfast 4k
When winter rolls around in new england, nothing's better than a vacation somewhere tropical. Kal picked a spot with a private pool for him and Eddie - and good room service, it looks like. Eddie's diving into a little extra snack. That warm sunlight must feel nice...I really pushed for a Ghibli-inspired animated look to this piece! I decided to paint the background in a lot of realistic d...

sketch: Eddie & Kal โ๐ vacation breakfast
Best way to escape winter in new england is with a vacation to somewhere in the tropics!! Kal splashed out on a nice beach hotel with a private pool. And now Eddie's enjoying some breakfast... after breakfast ๐ I have high hopes for the colors and lighting in this painting!! Gonna pursue a Ghibli-inspired vibe to it, lets see if that comes through in the end ๐ง
Dads at the cabin ๐จ painting process
Made a set of slides breaking down my process of creating this painting!! Hope you guys enjoy seeing this!
Bonus: Seamus & Eddie character stat sheets, SFW and after-dark versions ๐โโ๐
Alright, this ended up being a ton of fun for me to make, and forced me to think hard and define these guys a little bit better!! Hope you guys dig the lore and stats - both the clean ones and the filthy ones - and was there anything that surprised you?? Tell me!SFW stat sheet template is by @Cparrisart on bluesky! The after-dark version is my own creation. Attached to this post, along with Seamus...
Neighborhood dads cabin trip โ variations 4k
Here's a bunch of alt versions of the scene, getting progressively wilder! Yes, Coach turning his hat backwards counts as wilder - he'd never do that around the players on his team. Hope you dig these versions as much as I did painting them, haha. ๐คชAlso a "clean" version that I will upload to Redbubble when this hits social media if anybody wants to get prints!

Snow's coming down, the hot tub's fired up, the cooler's full of beers... looks to me like everybody's having a good time ๐I really, really enjoyed working on this painting haha. sketch: Neighborhood dads winter cabin trip
You guys voted that this month's painting would be a wild card, and this is what I came up with! It's the dead of winter and the dads of the neighborhood are on their monthly weekend trip up to the cabin, hitting the hot tub in the backyard at night... and they're all pretty comfortable around each other! not clear what got the dad on the right so excited, but he's def not shy abou...
bonus! Seamus hits the headboard ๐๐ฆ
bonus painting! got inspired to do a one-off of Seamus suffering from a hangover the morning after going to the show with Eddie and self-medicating the best way a guy can. no porn or distractions needed, maybe he's letting his mind wander back to how it felt to carry his cute scruffy roommate around on his shoulders like that all night... ๐ค๐ฆ
Seamus & Eddie ๐โ shoulder ride, variations 4k
Some different approaches to the lighting, and shirts! The bright pink background lighting setup was actually my initial idea for this scene, but I went with the dark background in the canon version cause I think it reads better from a distance. I like aspects of the pink lighting too cause it brings out the skin tones better and makes it feel a little more physical.wtf is Seamus's shirt, you ...

Seamus & Eddie ๐โ shoulder ride, 4k
Got this painting across the finish line!! it was a doozy to work on with all those people in the crowd but I'm proud of how it turned out, plus it was super fun to get absorbed in! I've been dying to share this scene with you guys for ages, cause I think it shows how Seamus and Eddie have a close friendship and common interests that exist outside the vignettes we've seen them in toget...

Sketch: Seamus and Eddie ๐โ shoulder ride at the show
alright here we are! I've had this idea in mind for a really long time, cause I wanted to show how Seamus and Eddie have a lot of common interests and have a lot of fun together, and I also love the casual "unintentional" physical intimacy of a shoulder ride at a concert. I like showing these two out and enjoying each other's company to show the kind of close friendship they have. ...

Sipher x Reed ๐๐ Painting Process
Here's some slides breaking down my painting process working on this scene of Sipher and Reed!
Unit Cards for all fantasy characters ๐ฒ๐
[First off, a note which I will delete after some time has passed:Today has been a really hard, shitty, depressing, unhappy day for me here in America. And I'm sure some of you guys felt the same way! It's so frustrating - but I know we're gonna tough it out and get through this. Reach out to your communities, your neighbors, your friends in the area. If you're like me, UNPLUG from...
Sipher x Reed ๐๐ variations 4k
Looks like Sipher was a little bit pent up!! ๐ And he whipped out some extra shadow magic to make sure Reed was fully spread apart. Reed, for his part, seems to be having just a terrible time...
